Check the reference before you track.

A copied link, a missing character or a shop order number can send you down the wrong path. Check one reference here, then confirm it against the sender’s genuine dispatch notice.

No sign-in · No carrier lookup

One parcel, one reference.

Have several references? Check a list, one per line.

Checks run in this browser. Your input is not sent to Shippy, a carrier or a server, and is not saved for a later visit. Copying uses your device clipboard.

Do not paste a full email, address, password or payment details. Shippy’s entry limit is 6–64 characters after spaces are removed; carrier formats differ.

No reference checked yet

The checker does not identify a carrier or verify a parcel.

Spaces are removed and letters capitalised in the preview, as in Shippy’s web entry. A readable reference can still be an order number or contain a typo.

Check several references, one per line

Prepare a list without joining parcels.

Paste up to 20 references, each on its own line. This check runs only in this page. It flags formatting problems and duplicates after spaces are removed and letters capitalised; it does not verify parcels or identify carriers.

One reference per line, not emails, addresses, links or order details. Ordinary blank lines are ignored. Enter inserts a new line; Ctrl+Enter or Command+Enter checks the list.

Interactive list checking needs the page’s JavaScript. Nothing is submitted.

Without JavaScript, keep one parcel’s reference per line and compare the originals before removing duplicates. Never combine two codes into one. To use Shippy for iPhone, confirm each reference with the sender, then add it in the app; this tool does not provide bulk app import.

Three checks a format tool cannot make.

  1. Is it the shipment reference? Shop order numbers can look just like tracking numbers. Look for the carrier and tracking reference in the genuine dispatch notice, not just the purchase confirmation.
  2. Does one order have several parcels? Keep each shipment reference separate. A result for one parcel does not establish that every item arrived.
  3. Did you copy the full code? Compare it with the original, including similar-looking characters such as O and 0. Check the sender’s or carrier’s own information rather than guessing from length alone.

For a USPS shipment, its official guidance on finding a tracking number explains where to look and when to ask the sender.

What this tool does not do

It does not track a parcel, confirm a tracking number is valid, infer a carrier, check a barcode or checksum, guarantee delivery, decide a claim or repair a missing shipment. It makes no carrier, account or tracking-provider requests.
