Parcel alerts without constant refreshing

A useful alert tells you something changed. It is not a live GPS feed or a guarantee that every carrier scan arrives immediately.

Check the shipment information first

Open the parcel in Shippy and inspect the latest event and any refresh or provider warning. If the carrier has not supplied a new event, changing notification settings will not create one.

Check device permission

On iPhone, review the notification permission for Shippy in Settings. Focus modes and notification presentation choices can affect when you notice an alert. Permission and the parcel’s own alert preference are separate checks.

Use parcel-level controls deliberately

Review mute or snooze choices for the parcel, and change only the one you intend. When a temporary quiet period ends, check the latest status yourself. Do not assume that every event during a quiet period will be replayed as a notification.

Keep the expectation honest

Shippy combines external tracking information, so provider delays and missing information remain possible. For an important delivery decision, read the current carrier information and follow the sender’s instructions. Reduce needless refreshes without treating silence as confirmation of delivery or good service.

Check the copied reference first.

The free browser-only checker helps with spaces, hidden formatting and copied links. It does not validate a carrier’s reference or look up a parcel. Open the format checker.
